I agree, the best thing to do is to download the demos and see which one you like best. I'm a trueSpace user and I can tell you that there's a very good plug-in for trueSpace which lets you import and export .obj files into and from trueSpace. Vue can import trueSpace .cob files, so you can model something in trueSpace and then import it into Vue easily. Also, if you download the trueSpace demo, soon you'll get some e-mails from Caligari with offers of discounts or other incentives. I think there's also an Easter special going on right now. TrueSpace has a unique interface which some people love, others hate, so it's best if you try it yourself and see how you like it.
