Maclean, You are right! We ought to pick Macs because >>>WE<<< think they are pretty... as in pretty darned good! ;^) Computers #5 and #6 are Macs and I wish that I'd switched years ago. 2 of my nominally-working PCs are absolutely dead (won't even boot) and the third is limping. All of them have their innards exposed as I desperately try to cannibalize any working parts. I use a Windows box to connect to the world and the Macs for any real work. There is bad media on the hard drive of the G4. It has had 3 years of heavy use with nothing done to it but adding memory when I bought it. Now that a project has been finalized and emailed, I'll replace the brain... but if you have ever peeked inside one of the newer Macs (G3 or G4) you'll notice that even the innards are better organized. I have experience with too many different types of computers (including Amiga and C64). If I had the money to buy a new machine, I'd be down at the Apple store getting a G4 with dual 1 gig drives. It is a pretty machine... inside and out. Carolly
