Well, I think Herbert should have stopped at The Godmakers. BEFORE Dune!!! He only had a couple of fixations... err... themes... and he wore them to death. I don't know why he was so terrified by the thought of powerful women secretly running the universe, but telling the same story 20 times doesn't win my vote for creativity.
