I have a Tower Mac & a Portable at home as well as my boyfriend's PC, and a black Dell at work. My Mac's are pretty/gorgeous, the Dell is somewhat stylish, my boyfriend's PC is flat out ugly. :P. Since OSX came out the difference in stability has been pretty obvious. The PCs crash... and fuss, and choke on games and internet explorer and simple things. The Mac goes on even when pushed with Poser open and Bryce and Photoshop and several browser windows and Mail and Fetch and BBedit open... I have a G4 gray/white tower. I also have a G3 lombard laptop and THAT is just gorgeous with the black case and bronze keys that seem to delicately light up. I started out with an old Mac PowerPC 7500 and it's still kicking around. They are quality hardware simply put. They LAST. As for the new iMacs, I think they're adorable! I always loved the Pixar lamp animated shorts. :P
