Here is, the 1st attempt do make ME on Poser, thanks to momodot for the face morphs... Here is a face view, a body *censured* view (hehehe) and a picture of me, the 'subject'. Comments welcome, this is a early stage, I've just tweaked it for about a hour... need somethin' to make the body even more slin...

Just an addendo here... the hair is going to be a real PAIN IN THE A.. to do, right ? :(

wow, coming along well. are you planning on using your pic as a texture?

Lorraine ( ) posted Thu, 01 June 2000 at 2:18 AM

Wow good job. Your eyebrows are shaped a bit different so maybe you want to make them more transparent so you can "paint" on them easier, otherwise you have done a great job on the morphs.

Thanks for the comments, Anton, Lorraine. I'm using poser for a little less than a month now, still very 'newbie' here... Anton: I was planning to edit the P4 Default Texture on Photoshop, but I've liked your idea, I will try it to see how it work out and post here again... thanxs! Lorraine: When I use eyebrows without color, only texture, they remain 'raised', how can I make it desapear ? A morph ? Thanxs!

Several of us have done self-portraits here recently. This will be one more to add to the collection. Looking forward to it. Melanie

Hi. Brow nose jaw or GREAT. I have a morph that smooths the eyebrows away on the P4 Woman. I'll try to do the Male today or tomorow. And you need the actual chin narrower (my round chin morph maybe?). The mouth is good but I'm sorry to say you need a little "frown" to get the moth corners bowed down. Getting the eyes fleshed out near the nose bridge is tough, I've done it on the Female but I'll have to try again for male, maybe a little of one of Traveler's eyefold or asian eye morphs would work. Sorry to sound so teacherly but teachin portrait painting is actually what I do for a living :)

MorphUpdate01.JPG There is some conflict between the smooth eyebrow and the eye fold, you'll have to turn down the former if the latter is dialed high. These are up at Free Stuff.

Melanie: hehe, how about a 'US' session on freestuff ? :) Momodot: thanxs, I will try it. Also, I think I will lower the bone structure on the eyebrows, it's too much 'fester' from Addams Family, my face is smoother. About the texture, I've tryed to use a photo of mine, but the uvmap is too large, and my face is narrow. Can I simply 'squeeze' my face on it ? DreamizM: Thanks, I will do it. Also need to lower the nose down a little, and increase the fullness of the lips, and a smaller chin. Tomorrow I will post some upgrades, Myself 1.1 ;)

You know, dzarts, I just had a thought. Show us image picture again rendered with the camera focal length set at around 100 to 120. That drastically changes the appearance of a figure. I believe the shots you're showing us are at the default 25 setting. You'll be surprised how this can change it. Many here have dubbed the standard P4NudeMale as "Poser Dork," but if they would change the camera focal length, they would see a whole new guy. Give it a try and see how it looks. Melanie

Will try it, indeed I haven't changed the camera settings... Also, I need to change the height of the model, default poser is about 6 feet, I'm 5.8ft.

melanie ( ) posted Sun, 04 June 2000 at 8:21 AM

All you would have to do is scale your figure just a tiny bit on the Y axis, but really, I don't know if that would be all that noticeable. Try leaving it as is and see what you come up with. You've already got a very good start. I look forward to seeing the finished product. :) Melanie PS: If you want to see how my self-portrait finally turned out, it's on my web site at http://www.teleport.com/~rene/mel/main.html Click on the Poser button and go to the bottom of the page. There I am!

Melanie: Nice, I will take a look. Also, if you please, I've posted the 'beta 2.0' of myself 3D here on the forum, but still have some tweaking to do. Indeed, the focal to 125 was very helpful, thank you!
