Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
If you have Vicky the dragon is 40% off until the end of today. I bought it yesterday.
Truth has no value without backing by unfounded belief.

Yes, I know how to take this a get several other gem colors out of it. VelvetRose, go check out the close facial render of this beast in the Poser Gallery. There is some problem of 'stretching' of the texture over the front of the snout but that is a limitation of the texture map that came with him. I'm going to see if I can minimize it and fix the tongue texture as well. Then he'll be ready. Oh, yes DreamizM, I did play AD&D a little long ago, but picked up the Dragon role playing box set when it came out. I don't always agree with their idea of alignment. People can be good and bad and grey no matter what their color or race, so why should this not be true of the Draconion Race? Why must a black dragon be evil? I know of one I had in a game, his name was Noire, who was not evil. Chaotic Neutral best described him.
Dreamspinner, there was an issue of Dragon magazine (#50 - I'm probably dating myself by mentioning this; my first issue was #37) that had a dragon creation system where alingment was as random as skin color (i.e. biased towards dark colors and Neutral/Evil alingments, but anything was possible)... After college, to keep in practice, I converted this to a Pascal program and expanded it to create gem, metallic, and chromatics at random... I had a lot of free time on my hands back then... But my upshot here is that, yeah, I don't think Dragon colors should dictate alignment or breath weapons for that matter (and loved to surprise PCs with strange dragons; had one Blue dragon manage to talk the PCs out of killing her by seeming more powerful than they were, trading them the "tacky" item they were looking for for some gems that matched her color scheme, palming off two cursed items on them, and flying them out of her cave...)
