" To be honest, I will be surprised if he gets more than a pair of pants, a t-shirt, some socks, a dress shirt, and two pairs of shoes. And then hell probably get relegated to the same closet theyve stuffed the previous Mikes in. If you cant tell, I dont have a very high opinion of Daz when it comes to their offerings for the Michael line. Hes been consistently relegated to obscurity, and the Male morph pack for V3 just adds one more reason not to produce items for Mike. And while Im on the subject of V3 and her male morphs, Anyone seen any male cloths from Daz for V3? Nope, didnt think so. Just browsing through Dazs store tells you where their priorities lie, and its certainly not in bringing equal number and quality of items to the market place for all their figures. And before anyone starts beating that But mike stuff just dont sell drum. Ive got a credit card right here in my wallet, waiting for something decent for Mike that I havent already got. So I guess their excuse is, my money just isnt good enough. Gay poser art is a prime example of, If you build it, they will come.. Daz, listen up, If you make it, MIKE USERS WILL BUY GPA has only been open for a month now, and weve already topped 560 members, thats 560+ of people who are interested in Mike related products, products you are not making in quantity, and money you are not making as a result. And in the process, youre alienating a portion of your client base. I know your probably thinking, But its only 560 people compared to the thousands of Vicki fans Sure its only 560 people, but its also $55,440 in platinum club memberships (at $99 a pop if everyone at GPA signed up for a PC Membership), and thats not including all the money that is earned off of items purchased with those memberships that Daz is not getting, because of neglecting Mike, and his users. Ive also heard a Daz employee say, But we dont control what our brokers create. in defense of the rather lopsided content of Dazs store. My reply to this is, No you dont, but you dont encourage a visible balance of content in the store you run either. When I walk into a supermarket, or some other large retail location, I dont see 70% of the shelves stocked with items for one specific use, with the remaining 30% allotted to all the remaining uses, unless its a specialty store, Is that what Daz is? A specialty store for Vicki? Because that is what I see at Dazs store. And its a shame, considering it would be in their interest, and the interest of the artistic community as a whole for them to encourage a balance, considering it degrades the sales of the very items they say they arent selling enough of. I know from working in retail, when a product isnt selling, you spruce it up, and display it in a prominent location to draw attention to it. This is something I have not seen Daz do in regards to the Michael line, they may have at one time done it, but Ive not seen it. Do I hate Daz? No, I dont, Im actually very grateful for their work as a business, and the hard work their artists put into the products they make, because without them we wouldnt have Mike, and Mike 2, which are both versatile and easy to use. Am I pleased with their marketing practices? No, Im not, I feel they should be taking a more active role in the marketing and promotion of their male figures. That said, Ill close this little rant with a quote of a friend of mine. I bitch, because I care. ~ Chris -- Antifreeze Web Admin of GayPoserArt.Com
