Make sure the blank window you are pasting into is the same exact size of your desktop resolution, meaning I keep mine at 1024x768, so when I paste a screenshot into Photoshop, my new document needs to be 1024x768. I only remember that little MS Paint program would ask if if I wanted to resize to fit the the paste, others don't. Maybe that will help. AS
