It's amazing to me how much we leap on every possible interpretation of every utterance from CL and/or DAZ. The base product has been planned to be free from teh word go, and has planned to have an extensive public beta-test during which program development would continue. this much I got from Dan Farr's comments in the initial thread on Daz Studio. It now appears that we won't be able to save content, only renders, in the very first initial early public beta release. From the initial thread I wouldn't be surprised if we couldn't pose with it yet either. All thoroughly sensible IMHO - a cautious step-by=-step approach. It could be that the base product will be continually developed to take into account unforseen requirements of "for-sale" add-ins that have yet to be imagined. Again, not so much of a problem I suspect. I've had my minor run-ins with Daz but, as far as I can see, on the customer service side AT LEAST they have done nothing but improve this year. Faith is a rare thing in this world, but for once I have some - in a company no less! Let's at least wait until the first FREE beta version is out before we trash it :)
