Stubble would work best as a combination texture bump. Should be able to do that by adding noise to the proper areas of the templates and then darkening them, I THINK... Then use the original to create the BUM map, probably after sharpening and converiting to grayscale... I can't promise anything, but I might be able to give this a whirl...
