Hi, I use a single terrain and the image mapped to it. Look for the humming bird tutorial to sort out the mapping. Basically it is as follows (Very brief) Make the image the same size as your terrain (1024*1024) make 1024*1024 terrain and reset default and then use the 'Picture' option set to 100% to import your picture exit terrain editor enter texture area and load the image (Rotating 180) Set offset to half the image size set the transparency to say around 80% and use the image set to negative (Rotated). (or use the negative image in zip file) map texture to object not world exit texture editor and then set the texture scale to 5.68 The numbers are explained in the humming bird tutorial.
