Too much tribal there already. Waaay too much. Probably because it's the easiest to draw. Try some traditional or Japanese styles in back pieces and sleeves and legs. That'd be different. Carolly said: Tribal? Bah! There are some pretty handsome designs, but they aren't from any tribe on this world. Well, I agree with the Bah in that tribal is a bit overdone, especially in the Poser world. However, I severely disagree with this statement. I think the Gutterpunk tribe and Parisite Goth tribes of Portland both fit the bill fine, and both have loads of ink, and though the tribal is more common on the latter it appears on both. I've seen tribal work on lots of gangstas as well. Please explain to me the anthropological difference between a tribe and a street gang. Finally, allow me to point out that the name for the style is 'Tribal Style', not 'Tribal', in actuality. Therefore the style never claimed to be an authentic represenation of the tattoos of more traditional tribes, but rather a style of tattooing that is designed to cary the style of the authentic ritual tattoos of many traditional tribal societies. The fact that the people with them are often found to be members of modern subculturally-biased tribes is simply an act of life imitating art. So, Carolly, what if you wanted to do a render of some gutterpunks hanging out spanging near the train station? If you did the research you'd find plenty of tribal, and if you wanted it to look authentic there'd be a fair number of bad tats covered up with tribal work because it's good for that. And a number of bad and jailhouse tats. And a lot of things written on knuckles.
