Great illustration, Laurie. It can take a lot of hard work to make a fabric scan, or any pattern, seamless. I only use Photoshop and make great use of the clone tool after using the offset filter. It is very rare that I will buy textures if they haven't been completely prepared for texturing or graphics use. Sorry but I think anyone can scan fabrics and embellishments not matter how great they are and I won't pay for that. But someone who has taken the time to prepare the graphics and understands the environment in which they may be used can afford to charge a bit more and make sales. Imho, of course ;) I think it is OK to see natural seams on clothing textures but it is very rare that it is done with any kind of expertise. It is just a question of the pattern not lining up but making it look stitched and like a piece of clothing instead of a 3d model, is the key!! Very interesting thread - pun intended!! ;) Di
