Congratulations and welcome to the brother/sisterhood. You've broken a few haiku rules but the rules are always open to question and depending on who you ask, they change quite a bit. I think you very much have the spirit of what it is all about. Even if it isn't "strictly" classified as haiku, it is still short form poetry and a perfect marriage of photography and poetry, two beautiful forms of artistic expression. I'm so tickled that someone took the bait. :-) You can do a web search on haiku and find tons of sites to learn about it and the seemingly endless number of forms of this style of poetry.
