but then you won't have soft shadows. raising the hood slightly might help. btw, that's also the reason for the glowing nostrils. poser works on such a tiny scale, that it just can't render shadows of very close things. you'll see the same problem with raytraced shadows also. there's that "bias" thing (light) which effectively tells how far from the object should shadow start (why is this usefull or why not start simply from zero is beyond me). you might try 0.2 or slightly less, possibly you'll get very strange artifacts if you go lower then 0.2.
