The vue render engine is as fast as others that I have evaluated. If you have multi processors you will increase performance as Vue is multi-threaded. RenderCow's Net Render can dramatically increase you render times. You should consider using Final as your render setting of choice to increase the speed, unless you are in need of motion blurring. Consider using motion blurring in segments where it counts and turn it off at times that it won't matter. In the end... Size "does" matter (with render times that is). : P
