I would like to be the devil's advocate in this case and tell you to buy it but keep another program on the side and learn that also. Despite Bryce being an awesome program, in a niche of its own, and now that niche is gone... not in terms of the interest, but in terms of the programs that are available. You could try vue d'esprit or something similarly priced (with the original Bryce price), but it won't be the same. Try to find another program together with you buying Bryce. Even if the community will continue to be here for another 2 years or more, you will get so used to it that you won't want to try something else ;) And my advice is that you should, even if it is just for kicks and nothing serious.
