"Disappearing" models are very often caused by an incorrect figureres line. In my case, the figureres lines (always make sure to correct both of them) were : figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:Gown:P4mangown2.obj (...P4mangown2 being the newly-saved gown OBJ). Also be sure to check that you've saved your model with the "Include existing groups" option on. Otherwise, Poser will find the model, but not the groups needed for the body parts, and simply not use any part of the model = you'll see nothing of it. To check for this, open the model in UVmapper and try a select-by-group - if there are no groups to choose, there are no groups in the OBJ.
