It doesn't matter to me what or who it looks like. What matters most is that the character has a 'back story'. The 'whys'. If you look at the best of the best, you can see it without even knowing you've seen it. There are some technically excellent character packages out there but when I look at them, I have no clue as to who they are or why they look the way they do. I know this sounds a bit ephemeral but it's much more imporant to me than style (punk, goth, etc) or decoration (makeup, tattoos). Put personality first and the rest will follow. On a technical note - I do really look for interesting and varied skin tones - changing skin tone in the materials dialog just doesn't cut it - and interesting facial structure. I would be a REALLY happy camper with an eyebrow-optional head texture and a variety of brows. They make a huge difference in customizing a character. -Nancy.
