The short hair thing came into fashion in the United States after World War I when men's hair had to be cut for reasons of keeping down head lice. Until that point, there was nothing wrong with men wearing long hair or short. The hippy generation brought it back as a statement against the establishment. Or as George Carlin would say, "to piss off the squares". Late 70's and 80's Glam Rockers took long hair to wonderful heights (I mean that figuartively and truthfully. Motley used to boast about owning stock in Aqua Net hairspray). And I'll quote from Motley's first video tape when they were talking about filming their video Looks That Kill. Apparently some stage guy was giving them crap about their long hair, lipstick, and makeup. Nikki finally said to the guy, "Just because we wear lipstick don't mean we can't kick your ass!" A real man is confident about his looks and what he does no matter whether he has short hair or long, lipstick or not. I just prefer men with long hair. For me, I'm happy if it's down to the butt in the back. Glad you agree with me Melanie. Now if we can only get some long hair for male posers, I'd be happy. I desperately need long hair models for the poser versions of the characters in my vampire novel Shadowclash--The Awakening (available at www.buybooksontheweb.com for $16.95 plus shipping)
