Hi everybody I'm a beginner in 3D and i need your help because of a bug you can see on these two images . On the first one, look at the bottom right on the smoke: a part of the terrain appears through it . On the second one it's the same thing: the terrain appears through the transparent sphere but it should not . I've seen this bug only with terrains. The only solution seems to convert the terrain to a vertex object, but the file gets much bigger, and my poor little computer can't handle it :( I think i've tried everything, but maybe i've missed something , so if anyone knows a trick for that one or has an idea ... Thanks for your help .

Could this be something to do with refraction or relection if it only happens with terrains I doubt it. Alot of times post render touch up is required with something like photoshop or painter.Maybe not the best solution but the only one I can think of. Stace

Hi guys I've finally found the solution, it's okay now . Here is the trick: i got to do a first render with only the mountains and the atmosphere, then set the image as a backdrop for a second render with the plane and the smoke . By the way, thanks to all. PS: Stacey, it's not a refraction problem, i've checked . It's a bug , and not the worst in Carrara ! I hope we'll get some patches one day for all those bugs . But i am expecting too much ???
