Subject: Maddening Eyebrows

I've done a search looking for any questions and can't seem to find one that matches what I need to find out. I've asked this question before and gotten no answers that worked. I can't get rid of V3's eyebrows. At all. When I check in the materials room, it doesn't even show up as attached to a transparency image. I set the fallout at 0 (it defaults to 0.6) and I've even created a transmap with the eyebrows completely blanked out and yet I STILL get eyebrows showing up under the new makeup textures that I've been working on. Obviously I must be doing something wrong. I even paint out the eyebrows on the textures and yet when I render, she's got eyebrows. According to the materials room, it's not even using a bmp map. I know I'm not stupid, but this is making me question what I could be doing wrong. Suggestions anyone?

yeah there's something odd about her eyebrows. I think the transparency kinda maps twice. I'll be waiting to hear the answer to this one. Love esther

Have you checked the colour in "Render Materials" ?. I think it needs to be the same as the head colour. Alex

Are you trying to make them transparant or just gone altogether? To make them totally gone you need to load the features head morph labelled "browsgone" At least I think it is in features... could be head.

I want them gone altogether...I've tried everything else that has been mentioned...and I've done the 'browsgone', but it doesn't make them totally disappear :( this is driving me bonkers.

You could try setting Upper Eyebrow transparency Max & Min to 100% and Transparency Falloff to 0%, with no texture or color applied and see if that helps. Also, be sure the Ambient and Highlight colors are set to full black. Melanie

Oh, and just a thought, if you want her to look like she has no eyebrows at all (bald eyebrows) you'll have to be sure that the texture map shows no eyebrows on it. Melanie

I've taken the brows off completely from the transparency map...but when I check the brows in the materials room, it doesn't show that any transparency map is being used at all....not sure how it can do that...and there doesn't seem to be an 'upper eyebrow' to V3....I'll check the ambient and highlight colors :) thanks for all the suggestions, guys and gals :)
