Imagine taking a photo and stretching it over a balloon, the integrity of the material is distorted. You can adjust the scale/resolution of the terrain to get them closer. however their characteristics are different. As you practice, you can figure out ways to distract the eye with other objects & lighting. You can also adjust the material too. more practice. ;) When you see images in the gallery you like...ask the artist about those settings in particular. Have fun
