If it wasn't so much of a hassle, I'd drag out my old Z80 based Timex-Sinclair 2068 and see what it would do on this test - just for grins. I think all the tech details of microprocessor architecture are interesting but the only real way to determine which CPU will render a scene how fast is to try it.
