Oh, Momodot, you just reminded me of a camping trip many years ago into Canada (been there a number of times since) when we camped first on the Isle de'Orleans and tried to buy ice cubes. My husband knew a teeny bit of high school French and we kept going around saying we needed (holding up our fingers held closely together) 'glace' (at the time we knew the word for little also--LOL). Then we moved from there because of wind to the other side of Quebec and there was a big sign posted on the washrooms. We were assuming that it gave times for men and women for showers (non gendered), but found out it was listing the times for mass LOLOL. At that time in Quebec, no one wanted to speak English in certain sections (I said quite awhile ago). So--I totally understand the frustration some must feel trying to make themselves understood here in a language that is their 2nd or more. (Couldn't get those dang Quebecians to understand Spanish no matter WHAT I did *G). Diane B
