Here are a couple of simple examples of the Material Shaders in Poser 5. The do not have to be textures, but can be processes as well. These are some backgrounds I have made - it is all done with math - no textures, so the resolution is almost infinitely high. As I said this is a very simple examople because nodes can plug into other nodes and create some very complex materials that are truly amazing - such as explosions fireballs, smoke, haze, water, clouds, sky, rocks, sand and on and on.
