Mac - LOL you always make some good points, so can't argue with you. Since we are all just hypothesizing, though, it might be fun to bookmark this thread and come back in 6 months to see how we fiared. In a related matter, here is a little test that I did back when I found out that Poser 5 used micropolygon technology and NOT SDS as originally thought. This is an amazing little process that brings Poser into a new league, but which nobody seems to be noticing. The question is whether DAZ studio will offer such technology or whether it will just require huge resource-sucking meshes to get detail. Potentially, In poser 5 there is no reason why Posette could not render with as smooth curves as the much higher resolution Vicky3 - even forehead wrinkles and crows feet eye detail could be done with displacement mapping - perhaps even more detail than V3 can generate in Poser 4. So why do we need all those extra polygons? Beats me, but does give me a clue of the technology behind DAZ studio and why they are not eager to support Poser 5. As someone said earlier it is an interesting time... ... and time will tell...
