Corel lowered the price of Bryce before VC had a true say in their company. I would hazard a guess that Corel did it to raise money, before the sale of Corel to VC. More sales in any of their products would make Corel worth more, even if it was a little bit more. Also, doing so, helps bring more attention to the product. As did some recent donations from Corel of their products to shools, which included Bryce. Press releases made sure to have the bryce name in the articles. And, lowering the price helped close the Vue competition back in a little bit. I've tried contacting Vector Capitol, no replies as of yet, I don't expect one. Not out of anything bad, I would just assume at this point, they aren't making their moves public in any way. I contacted Corel (one of the many times, lol), about their not offering a demo of Bryce on their website. Just seemed silly to lower the price, garner attention to it, and not offer a demo. And...I got a reply from an actual person! (real nice lady) She said; "At this time, a trial version is not available." (Which is kinda strange, since it once was) but she did also say; "I will pass along the information to the product manager." I don't know why, but I think VC believes Bryce is better off in their product lineup, than being sold off. At least, for now... AgentSmith
