Thanx for taking the time, catlin! :) Actually, "splatter" is the word that reviewers use in Italy to define a kind of "strong" horror fiction. IMO, they used improperly to define my early works, but it's ok... I swear I didn't wrote anything that SK wouldn't have written (not so good, alas, LOL). I moved into different genres since then, but somewhat the label stuck... sort of adhesive, I think :) I was terrified in reading SK at 12, but mostly because he wasn't published yet in Italy and I had to learn English from scratch :) I had an uncle living in the US, so he helped me a lot with the language and sending me the original editions of the novels. The first one I managed to read completely was "Christine", what a thrill! When I finished it, I was happy like it was my birthday! :) S.
