Thanks to everyone for the feedback, it encourages me to keep trying to up the ante. It took about 2 1/2 months of my 'spare' time to do this one (the opening shot alone took 13 hours to render on a P4 with a gig or RAM, and longer than that to model and animate), so there won't be an encore for a little while. I'm going away for a few weeks but when I get back I may post a couple of shorter films I did before this one.
