I got those 'out of memory' error messages a lot with my old computer, quite often when Poser was looking for a file that was corrupt or in the wrong place. My new machine has more memory and more processor power, and I get the error messages less often- Poser seems to cope better with problems. I now tend to get get blank figures or body-part-less figures, but no error message and corresponding disappearance of the selected figure. Windows XP and Poser 4 (no ProPack) both times, so the extra capacity does /something/, even if that error message isn't entirely accurate. I do have version 4.03 (the updated one), so maybe that's why the extra memory helped. I haven't yet lost the habit of nervously selecting 'save' before adding a new figure to a scene, however! Oh yes, welcome from me too! Poser is an expensive and addictive habit, but at least it's an artistically pleasing and somewhat sociable one. ;)
