This character is dedicated to Pedro Silva from Portugal!..He asked kindly for him some time ago and he supplied chapters from his book in progress, to help me visualize him and get deeper into his personality! Flitpick is a pirate soooo different from others! Scottish by birth BUT a dedicated enemy of kilts, humorous, adventurous,mischievous, witty and unpredictable,obsessed with the sea, large ships & piracy since he was a little kid, yet STILL a kid in heart! I fell in love with him from the very first page I read and I kept on reading wishing there was more...I hope Pedro DOES finish that book soon as he's definately most talented!:o) Let me know what you think of him as I plan to include him on the next FairyWoods update! No need I guess to mention that his new outfit was done by steve, who else? *grin* That extra zonari at his waist (yes I know...we call it "zonari" in Greek..help me to find out what you call it in English..LOL!)was made by my friend John Malis. By the time he gets posted I hope we have discovered the creators of his sword and flintlock too as to pay full credit to those props creators! renapd

I know the waist wraps that you wear with dinner suits are called 'Cummerbund(s)' , so that might be the word you are looking for. VID

I agree with Ghostofmacbeth, the sword looks like one LordsWarrior made. I really like the blotches on his neck. They make him look like a real human being who spends most of his days on deck baking in the glaring sun, with long periods of routine work punctuated by the occasional fight for his life in a boarding action. You can't do all that and keep perfect skin too.

His forehead seems too ... plastic; I think the texture needs darkening there. Otherwise incredible work - and that looks like Mea's flintlock (I have yet to finish work on my Pirate character; I may wind up stealing elements of yours... :-))
