Well, if I remember the story right from college. Someone else invented it- marketed it- and was selling it. Ronco (I think it was) swiped the design from this individual. The next thing you know, there is a nationwide marketing campaign. Made them 20-30 million. The original creator did take them to court- eventually won- a tiny fraction of what was made. But the point is, no one in there right mind would even try to put ads in newspapers all over the country saying "you can't use it" You don't go after the end user, you go after the primary offender.
