When I had chicken pox in my mid-twenties, Aveenobath oat bath powder was my only friend (that, and a tattered blue bathrobe that made me feel like Arthur Dent). At the very least it will return the oils in your skin to something resembling normal. Benadryl makes a topical antihistamine mixed with calamine lotion by the name Caladryl. Unlike calamine lotion it doesn't crust off in bed but sticks to your skin after it dries (remove with warm water). That was my other other friend as I recall. We're crossing our fingers for you.
