What you describe about the black rendering has something to do with Poser 5 and reversed normals. The wings were built long before Poser 5 was released. With Poser 4 they work fine. But anyway, fact is Poser 5 doesn't like reversed normals. GraphicFoxx exatly described what's to do to solve this problem. Then the wings will render the way they had.
