As for WHY it's there (the upper eyebrows level/s on Victoria and Michael meshes) well - while it may make the models more complex and slightly harder to use (ignoring here the extra materials which do nothing and only serve to complicate matters for no reason bar "Daz goofed") they also add to the potential for realism (or unrealism). Using the same layer as the rest of the head alone people have managed some quite startlingly wonderful images - and the theory goes that if you give the artist more capable tools, like eyelashes and eyebrow layers that can have different specularity/reflectivity/ambience (etc. etc.) than the skin, and actually can cast shadows on the skin, then the potential for great images increases. It's the same approach as Curious Labs took with Poser 5 in many respects. Some people complain that the Material Room is no-where near as easy to use (for example) as Poser 4's simple pick-a-colour paintbox. Others revel in the possibilities that the new Material room makes available - and have produced images that would be difficult to imagine producing in Poser 4 (or at least within anything remotely approaching the same timescale). In both cases (DAZ and CL) you can largely ignore the added complexity provided you mutter the right curses and throw the pile of sticks in the appropriate manner. Not QUITE as easy as jsut having Posette / Poser 4 but then if that is all one wanted one would stick with the models/programs one was comfortable with :) Cheers, Cliff
