RAM is of great importance to 3d rendering. The less disk-swapping your machine has to do, the faster your image will render (as well as allowing you to place more props and figures in a scene). With 512Mb, you should have very little problem in that department. CPU - as I understand it, the Athlon chips from AMD have smaller, slower cache than the current crop of Intel chips. Certainly running an 800Mhz (whether AMD or Intel) will speed up your rendering times noticably (to say the very least grin). I can't speak for the current crop of AMD chips but the one machine I had with an AMD chip caused me a boat-load of problems, mostly with apps other than Bryce/Poser. Since then I've stuck with Intel and had no problems. Video Card: the card you have is an excellent card - from the writeups I've seen - and 32Mb should certainly be able to handle everything you throw at it. The current NVIDA TNT cards are excellent - especially the TNT2 Hope this mild rambling helps you some Paul
