I love Soundgarden. In fact, I think it's impossible for me to dislike anysong with Chris Cornell on vocals. My brain always gets lost in his harmonic, wailing voice. Yep, he's definitly one of my heros. And your image is rather........white...... lol. Not my interpretation of the song but I guess everyone has a different one.

The final fact of a blackhole is that you CAN'T see it.. I have done a lot of studies/physics concerning stelar singularities etc. What makes a black-hole black is that it has so much mass that actual light waves (fast moving matter = energy = e=mc^2) can not escape its gravitational field. Now, all that allows us to see is light. without light being emitted/reflected by the blackhole, we can not see it at all. The only way we can actually even prove blackholes exist is because of stelar paralax and the fact that starlight will bend around a black hole, thus we see stars on both sides (the same star)... Sorry, just saw blackhole and thought I'd insert my two cents. For being a 'black' hole, it is rather 'white'.

Bryster; yet the reason for me posting that, is if he was scientifically portrating anything resembling a black hole then the image would be far from white/showing the actual black hole.. And incase you didn't notice, the planets in this image are being lit by the black hole....or so it would seem... Sorry, I know this is just an artistic rendering, but I wanted to justify my post. lol...

I don't quite get what you are doing with your pic...I can see a yellow streak going from the right side of the pic to the centre..... The Bryster

uh..if the black hole has a gravitational pull so strong that even light can't escape..what again is lighting the planets?..;) Actually, I think the Schwartzchild Radius (Sp?) bends light that enters the pull of the black hole, so you might get a 'spectrum' effect, which could reflect on the planets..I think a good starfield would be in order, but a neat trick would be to 'warp' the pic closest to the black hole, to see the light being diverted by the field..but then again, it might just be there 'to wash away the rain'..;) Have their first CD, but never got around to getting the rest..;)

There are some neat filters for PSP/photoshop that create warp effects.

black hole sun..... a black hole which is a sun. hence the fact the planets are lit by it. actually they aren't the black hole is only a black coloured sphere. the actual light source is the sun which is behind it. oh bugger you've gone and made me spoil it now! anyway who said it was a picture in this universe? do i need to whip out the ol' p-branes? John PS: er... bugger.... i was once told if you could see all the stars light AT THE SAME TIME the night sky would be as bright as day..... hmmm........
