The second one is exposed better Meli. If you could frame it so the hand wasn't cropped out it would be great. Regarding exposures in bright light situations, I am no expert, but a smaller aperture and a faster shutter speed can help. Also try "bracketing" your exposure, a few stops up and down either side of what your meter tells you is optimum. Looking foward to seeing your "scary" work on this in 2D! :-)>
