C4D's renderer is one of the fastest on the market. C4D does animations. Importing Poser animations is another story. Currently, the latest version plugins do not support Poser animations. And yes, there are several ways to load your poser models and scenes into C4D. You can "make" C4D R8 use the CL C4D plugin (originally for R7.3), but you'll need Poser 4 ProPack (even if you have Poser 5). You can load the geometry exported from Poser and redo all of the textures (this is the hard way, but always works). Or, you can use one of several third-party plugins for C4D that import Poser scenes and figures (GreenbriarStudio.com has an increasingly excellent set just for this purpose). Kuroyume
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
