Thanks for the advice. I've also looked at Wings 3D based on a recommendation and like that program too. I've played with 3D Canvas Pro and really like the way it feels, though it doesn't play well with other programs. Had to shut down Zone Alarm Pro (not an issue so much with my router handling the same job), ICQ, Weather Bug and SETI@home just to get it to run smoothly. GMAX might be nice too, and I'll take a look at it, but if I'm not mistaken it has a royalty clause for anything made and sold. Mind you, that's getting way ahead of myself, but Canvas looks like it has all the functionality of animator, renderer and modeling programming that I'd need in an interface I can use easily.
