We are talking about several different things here, so lets try to clear the confusion: cr2's are generally OK to distribute, since they usually refer to a obj file that is needed for the receiver to use the cr2. Hence no risk of unauthorized use of the cr2. If you don't own the product, you don't have the obj file and you can't use the cr2. The exception is cr2's that is the actual product, like Vicky 2 and Michael 2. Distributing a Vicky 2 cr2 would allow Vicky 1 owners to use Vicky 2 morphs, since Vicky 1 and 2 uses the same obj file. See the FAQ page at DAZ for guidelines on distribution of these products. The DAZ Vicky 3 morphs are products in themselves. So distribution of them is of course a no-no, even to users who owns V3. But to make a character using settings of DAZ Vicky 3 morphs is another thing. Settings can be distributed as long as you don't distribute the actual morphs. Settings are just a number used to set the morph dial. There is a great utility from DAZ, Injection Pose Builder ($1.99 in the Platinum Club), that allows you to create a Pose file that automatically injects the necessary morphs to V3 and applies the settings. With this method, you can create a V3 character and distribute it as a Pose file. No legal problems, since the user needs to own the necessary morphs for the Pose file to work! The actual morphs are not included in the file. Renders of Vicky 3 (or anything else for that matter) is just a graphical representation of the product and is usually OK to distribute. As gildedgecko points out, some products might have restrictions on commercial use in renders. I do however question the legal validity of such restrictions, but here it's more a question of respecting the wishes of the creator. Especially of it's a free item! Hope this makes it somewhat clearer, or did I just make it even more confusing? ;-)
