Interesting.. I wonder when they added that text (do you have a link to where it is?). I was researching this a few weeks ago (see link) and didn't see any text to that effect on thier site, but when I called them and suggested how it shouldn't be a problem, they agreed and said that you could (distribute a V3 .cr2 as long as it had no morphs in it).
