Is you hate PS or do you hate photo correction - manipulation programs? What type of camera are you using. If you are using a digital perhaps you can correct this sort of problem using your camera. If it is film you may consider doing something different. Perhaps you camera thinks that the light was too much and it wasen't perhaps you can try a longer exposure.
