The materials settings aren't on the dials. In P4, select the shirt, click Render in the top bar, click Materials in the menu that drops down. In the box that comes up, there will be a drop down menu on the right side. Choose the part you want to make transparent, then slide both the Transparency Min and Transparency Max all the way to 100% Make sure you have black in the highlight and ambient color boxes, and click OK.
