We would like to announce that our website [3dmodelz.com](http://www.3dmodelz.com) is now officially for sale.

Due to rising administrative requirements, and a concurrent level of commitment and time, we are becoming unable to devote the time that 3dmodelz needs in order to go foreward, without compromising our personal realtionships. Since we are unable to hire extra staff to reduce these duties, we are left with no choice but to sell 3dmodelz. We have thought long and hard before reaching this decision, which we do with reluctance.

We are presenting 2 options regarding the sale, as follows
Option A. The buyer takes possesion of the 3dmodelz name, website, and all content at 3dmodelz, which excludes the Marketplace stock at Renderosity and our other brokered stores.
Option B. Buyer takes possesion of everything, including full rights to all existing retail stock, at all our brokered stores.

The Website. 3dmodelz opened to public viewing on 1st December 2001. We currently attract 30,000 visitors a month, who request 10,000 - 18,000 page views per day. The site has been php based since February 2003, when we introduced download tracking. Downloads from the 3dmodelz site, without remote links, number on average 35,000 per month. These are downloads of the 400+ free items we currently have in our freestuff catalogue. Everything is now database driven, making introduction of new stock/gallery images/other content remarkably easy.

The Freestuff. We currently have 403 free items available for download, split into 20 differant categories. 3d model content is in Poser, 3ds and Max formats, with additional free items such as textures. Model content covers a wide range of subject matter, including buildings, weapons, vehicles, furniture and more.

Retail Stock. Our retail catalogue comprises over 130 items in total. Since 1st Jan 2003, these have generated over $16,000 of revenue. Content is split between Poser and 3ds formats, although we have 3ds formats of all our Poser products, which are included as part of the catalogue.

As stated, it is with great reluctance that we do this, but personal circumstances really leave us no choice.
Interested parties should contact admin@3dmodelz.com

Someone else may buy it, but no one will have your style. Sure sorry to see this happen, but I can understand how there are other priorities.

I'll echo what Dialyn said, and add that it is admirable that you have reached a business decision that places personal relations as a priority over finance. I respect that immensely.

Oh man, that sucks. My sympathies, guys

It's a shame, you will be missed. But it is understandable.

Just for the record, we will all be staying in 3d, however it will be as individuals. As we say, it comes down to a choice between 3dmodelz, and our families/relationships. No contest. With best wishes to all Andi 3dmodelz

You're a very talented group of people so I'm sure you will find individual success. I hope your friendships stay strong. You're making the right choice...there is no doubt of that. :)

andi, I can understand where this would get stressful. family should come first. I'm glad you will still be here. There were two talented twin fantasy artists, very famous, they were very close went into a bussiness together. It destroyed their relationship, and they went out and worked separately. Very famous. Now I think, you cannot replace the relationship of a family. Once you loose that, you loose the heart of your life. This sounds like a viable way for you to maintain that relationship, is going solo. At least you will still have a relationship with them, not like these two twins who had been so close. I'm glad you will still be here on the MP, and in the community. we would miss you otherwise. Susan

Damn, 3dmodelz has made a lot of my favorite Poser stuff. Dialyn's right, it won't be the same without you guys. But it's good to know that you will still be around individually.

Gosh, I am so sorry to hear (read) this. I truly enjoyed your wit, your fantastic models, your total contribution to the Poser community. I just do this as a hobby and I know how much time just doing that takes away from everything else (that I should be doing) but my husband has his separate, but time consuming hobby of his own, my daughters have their boyfriends so, I the only real thing I am neglecting is the housework. (: Your family does come first and I wish you all the best in all you do. genny
