Sorry! Didn't mean to send up your blood pressure...hehehehe. ChromeTiger is right - we HAVE been programmed to see that little lock when we enter our precious cc numbers. It's the only way we have of knowing that we are on a secure server. A lot of us are paranoid about that, and rightly so, since it's so easy to swipe info off of the information superhighway ;o).
