I think comments are really important. In my first weeks as a member, when I was almost giving up after seeing so incredibly good work in the Bryce gallery, I remember Alvin writing a comment under one of my early works that went something like this: "You're improving fast, I'm following your improvement and it shows" (quoting by memory). It may seem nothing, but it changed completely my approach. I felt encouraged and pushed to work better. So, I leave lots of comments. I love this forum, but it's second to the gallery, in my priority. Of course, I comment the works of the people that are in my fav's list, and I comment works of the forum-ers that I got to know better in these months... but, generally speaking, I comment ALL the images that I like or interest me in some way, or those that IMO need some suggestion. Specially the ones by new-posters. Of course, time is a factor. I dedicate at least 45/60 minutes a day to the Bryce gallery, and often this means that I have to work later in the day to catch up with the "real" work (bread&butter) that I left behind. I'm on fiber-optics, so downloading and opening the images is not much of a problem. Too bad that I really don't have the time to view ALL the images in the gallery, so I usually load a page of the Bryce gallery and then right-click on the thumbs that inspire me most. S.
