Yes & No. We can all imagine pretty much anything but the program we use isn't always able to produce our visions the way we see them. So we push the program to it's limits trying to find ways to make it do what we want. Then in the next version the developers add the things we've found as proper features for us to use. But the cycle starts all over again from there with the users trying to find the next "pot of gold". Without the developers supporting the program & adding the new features we users create/find it will stagnate & people will lose interest & move to the nearest rival, ending with the death of the original program.
