Yeah..I render it all as a jpeg sequence and import it into an avid and then export it as a .omf and convert it to mpeg. Go find a program called mmstudio ... it is a beta but it is shaping up to be a after effects clone..my next animation I am going to try to use it to piece together my sequences. I have found having carrara render the movies takes to long but it kicks butt when it comes to image sequences. If you cant find mmstudio let me know..Ill post up a link...
